2. Your Journals are set up in Blackboard. Go to Journals; click and it will open Personal Journal; click and open that, and then click New Entry.
3. Reading and Journal assignments are posted on Blackboard and now also here. In Discussion and in your personal (private) journal, I'm not asking you to synopsize the readings; I'm asking you to use them as a springboard for thinking about all the things "genre" and "text" and "rhetoric" might mean, and to consider how such an understanding might be useful for you as you go forward in your university and professional career.
4. This website: I'm building it little by little, learning how to do it. As you know, we have a class assignment to build an academic portfolio website, and it's been a while since I last did a website with an undergraduate writing class. Things have improved! I'm using Weebly for this one, and learning it as I go. I'm also keeping it simple -- I hope. I will appreciate your critical advice on whether it's working well or not! Over the next several days I'll get it fleshed out, and over the first few weeks, I will modify as needed.
Look for some additional assignment material, especially the Monday class, which doesn't REALLY have a week off -- just a missed f2f session. Also, I will be testing the email lists over the next few days as well.
Enjoy your long weekend, everyone!
